Does anyone know......

if Etihad Airways give air miles?
I have searched their website, and there is no mention of airmiles or alliances with other airlines.

I'd be particularily interested if they do,as I have made 10 long haul flights with them over the past 12months and have kept all my boarding passes in the hope I can claim airmiles if they give them.

I may email them to ask if nobody knows.

As far as I know no frequennt flyer program. Have asked the question earlier to the PR department but no positive answer.

I dont believe that they do have a program. If they did normally with most airlines you have to claim back mileage with 6 weeks of the flight.

A good site for checking out flyer programs is

Hi Roger,

I read somewhere that the reason why their fares are lower than other airlines is because they do NOT offer airmiles.

The real reason their fares are lower is because the UAE government pay ALL their fuel costs . This along with aggressive pricing is leading to passengers on their routes dropping their current carriers and taking up with Etihad. Hardly surprising given that its such a new airline.

Hence the lower fares and no frequent flyer programme. I'm sure they will set one up when they are established as one of the main carriers, which IMO is only a matter of time.

Oh well, time to bin the boarding passes
