Anybody heard about Siam Palm?

I'm going to Patong for a holiday and the Siam Palm Hotel seems to be a good deal. Has anybody heard about that place?

Friendly gay run hotel and restaurant next to Tarzan Bar, easy walk to Paradise bars and beach. All rooms have air-con, satellite TV, coffee/tea making facilities, room safe and phone and are very comfortable and very nicely decorated. Staff and management are very friendly and helpful, no problems with bringing back an overnight guest - they even get a free breakfast! Always gets very good feedback. Current low season rates from 600 Bht (std) to 1,100 (deluxe).

Tarzan bar hehe,do he know

I stayed there on my first visit 4 years ago. What attracted me to it first time was the 'No joiner fee' and 'Guest Friendly' actually advertised on their website. Not many hotels state this, whether guest friendly or not.

It is only a small hotel (less than 20 rooms at a guess).

I never realised it was Gay friendly until I came down to Breakfast one morning and saw afifty something farang with a thai boy.
No problem to me, I sat down , had my breakfast then moved on.

Good Value for money, about 600 baht a room in low season, aircon , mini bar etc and a really good choice of Sat TV, and the bathrooms were the best Ive seen in a long time for a budget hotel.

Only Downside you will have to use the Tuk Tuks more often. About a kilometre from Bangla. Too far to walk at 3 in the morning.
Directly opposite was a large field , but most recently (january) on my last visit a Building(Hotel/Apartments ? ) was being constructed. If you are planning on visiting shortly I would ask the hotel about this as the building work may make your stay a little more uncomfortable.

Thanks. I think I will try it anyway just for the deal. Concerning the tuk-tuk, I always rent a motorbike anyway.
