Question Kata Karon GF Hotels

All,
Did some searching on the subject of reasonable priced girl friendly hotels in Kata and Karon. Within sensible distance of a bar or three??
There does not seem to be any specific thread on the subject. Am happy to start one, so if anybody can supply help/advice or a link to suitible pages??

Note: This is for someone who knows all about how good Patong is!!!! Just may want to stay somewhere else for a while.

In Kata I would recommend Little Mermaid. Nice and cheap.

Smile Angus O Tool's Irish Bar

Just read their latest ad.They are offering their rooms at low season price of 600 Baht per night. It is in Soi Islandia Karon Beach right in the middle of the bar area.

.Your room is above the bar!

Try this site for the information you want. Under " Newbies" is a section on g/f hotels and non g/f hotels complete with joiner fees and contact details.

Caerphilly, is correct. Kata palm resort is GF friendly. i get a dulux room with pool entrance for 1700 in september. cant wait to get there. I think that the peach hill is also GFF if you are at the bottom near kata road. I know Kata quite well, I have been there 3 times (6 weeks total) so have walked most of the roads and drank in most of the bg bars.

Does anyone now if the "CC Bloom's Hotel" is girl friendly ?

They gave me a special "month-rate" and I am considering, because it really looks nice for the price I am paying!

I know the owner is gay, but that doesn't mean anything....

Never been there but the rooms do look superb decor and clean etc.. Also note many of the links to it mention its a gay owned and gay friendly hotel (gier.. you know this joint ??) which probably explains the good decor but also probably wouldnt bother me as long as theres no male on male debauchery going on in the pool or any sneering queens.. My opinion could be different if planning a family vacation thing..

TinTin, CC Bloome is perfect for you. close enough for the Kata Karon fun and nice and quiet as well. They bring you i believe even to patong in the evening and at least to restaurants in the area.

Have done a piece on them in june and must say apart from the steep ride up the hill could not find something wrong with it.

And like you said, skip will give you a good price for long time. He is gay so what? The hotel is gay friendly but definatelly not a gay hotel. Maybe just gay friendlyness and looks. And free wifi in every room and some nice pool rooms

Yes Eric, but for 4 weeks it is...60.000 bath. A very good price for this place (although I am also a bit afraid for my privacy.

The full moon resort, in Kata, looks less luxurious, but the bungalows are detached. If it is true that the price is 1200 bath/night, could be a good place, if not too noisy! But except their site and no writing back, no reviews on this place and nobody seems to know it!

Full Moon Resort is in the same soi if I am correct. Instead of going up the hill you take the left road and stay lower. Have not been there myself but I think that is the one (as you are familiar in the area, it is the first soi on the mountainside after the gasstation when you go to chalong (opposit the little Mermaid Hotel entrance on Patak Road)

but why not go for about 1500 per night right on the beach on walking distance of all bars and with aircon and pool regular rooms. Haha and absolutely guestfriendly

When I vist LOS for the first time in 1997 I went to their restaurant one evening. The place was then owned by a danish guy and his sweet little thai wife. In that time it was a very nice steak restaurant and the most friendly staff. Does anyone know if it's the same owners today?

Actually I believe it has been sold 1 to 2 years ago, but I might be wrong

During my last trip to Phuket (March 06) I have stayed at the Phuket Island View hotel which is located at the south end of Karon beach and had no problem at all to bring the girls to my room.
