3 hours is absolutely no problem. The longest time it has ever taken me to get through international arrivals is 1h15 and that was due to some problem opening the baggage compartment on the plane (er, so they said). One tip: as you arrive at the first Visa/passport check lines (approaching with them on your left side) keep walking to the furthest one while watching for a short line. It seems like you see them all, but there are walls hiding more desks further on and the lines are almost always shorter.
As for the transfer to the domestic airport, it is about at 20 mn walk, less if you know exactly where you are going. One good thing is you can take your luggage trolley the whole way there, but you have to take an elevator just after you exit baggage claim at the international side, but there are signs showing you the way. Then there is the 1km tunnel with a/c thank god. When you get to the domestic terminal, Nok air is nearly the furthest check in desk, just past the Thai airways check in desks. Good luck!
