Hi Adam
i was on PhiPhi last december for a couple of days. i didn't book a hotel. as soon as i got out of the ferry there were a lot of guys offering hotels, rooms and bungalows. a guy had some kind of office at the end of the pier and showed me some resorts. i don't know the name of the resort anymore. it was one beach on the right side frome the main beach. i paid 1500 baht per day for my bungalow right at the beach. imho i wouldn't book a room in advance. just get there and see what you like best.

I wouldn`t do so. 1500 for a bungalow is much to expensive for phi-phi. And as far as i know they are all girl friendly there. Course there`s not such a barscene as in phuket or bangkok.

IMO of course

Phi-Phi Hotel is a nice place. I stayed there last November.

The island itself was another story thogh. It was badly damaged and still has some recovery left..

i agree that there are a lot places with better rates. i just wanted to relax for a couple of days and have a bungalow directly at the beach. but there are accomodations for all budgets and interests.
cheers
