find hotel on arrival

hi,im going to phuket in september,my mate who has been before says all he done when arrived in phuket was to go to the bar with his luggage and when he met a girl she told him wot hotels were cheap and girl friendly,he then booked into the place and when he got to know the place better he moved to a better girl friendly hotel, would anyone recommend this? or is it best to book a hotel beforehand so you dont have to carry your luggage around the bars with you,any help would be helpfull,my mate insists this is the best option, but id like to here other opinions, thanks

list of girl friendly hotels in Patong on the forum with reviews.

Do a search or go to accomodation thread at start of forum and look there.

Price ranges, hotel amenities and websites listed there.

Why not book into a G/F hotel to start with. Just a couple of night will do,then if you are not happy, try another. There will be no shortage of rooms in Sept.
There are plenty of them C&N Hotel, Summer Breeze,K Hotel, Orchid Guesthouse,Patong Villa, for a start.
Have a read of this thread to give you some more ideas

BTW C&N Hotel does a free airport pick up

...well, the first thing I want after 14-15 hours travel is simply to get checked-in, have a peace of mind and take a shower....the last thing I would like is to jump with my bag & sticky balls into a bar and chat up a girl...but you is not me

Greetings

i would book at least you know you have a room and don't have to spend ages to look for some where.

You could book for 1 night then move if you what too.
