GF Hau Hin Hotel

Hi All,

Before you shoot me down, I KNOW that there is a thread for this already but for the life of me I cannot find it. If someone could point me in the right direction I would be greatful.

Myself and my buddy are travelling down from bangkok to Phuket, thought we would stop over a couple of nights in Hau Hin. We need a comfortable hotel with air-con and must be guest friendly. Any ideas??

BTW thanks to all BMs for the help in finding a good hotel in Bangkok...it's booked.

Ferris

Hope you find a good hotel Ferris.

How are you travelling? Will you rent a car and drive?

I'm considering doing the same journey in the new year and would be interested in how long it takes etc.

Hi Gez,

The idea is to stay a few nights in Bangkok and then get the over-night train down to Hau Hin (don't fancy driving around Bangkok) then hire a car or jeep and head down to Phuket. I'll let you know how we get on.

Thanks for all the help lads

you can go to Hua Hin with a minibus from Victory Monument for 160 Baht, depending you have not too much luggage with you. They drive directly, no stop. About 2 hours driving.

Anything of interest between H/H and Phuket? How about a ferry to Koh Samui? My geographic knowledge of that area is a bit poor , but if someone wanted to go to H/H and Samui and were in no great hurry, then maybe this route may be ok?

You can drive to Ranong and cross over to Burma there. There is a small casino and maybe something else.
