The staff, I found, were friendly to all when I stayed there a few months back! When walking through recption/bar area most evening I tended to see the same people there. At first I thought they all just stayed at the hotel, but as time went on I realised a few of them must of been residents of los, or holiday makers on long stays at least.
All the staff seemed to be a pleasent to me (a frist time resident!) as they were to the 'old timers'. They even memeriosed my name on the first night, which is very unusal in any hotel anywhere!
But this was confusing on my last night as I have vague memories of meeting a girl who knew my name but I couldn't place her, while i was in Tiger! Before leaving the next evening, one of the staff from SB said how did i enjoy my night, the night before. It was only in the taxi on the way home that I put 2+2 together! Wish I talked to her more, as my drunken despiration got to me after Tiger that night!

Some of staff at Summer Breeze, and yes they are expert in remember your name and always use it when you turn up in the morning
You will also see some of girls working in James Dons bar late sometimes because of their
boyfriends there.

There are no prolem to hv your girlfriend with you. I used to hv my ex girl with me there and never had any problem. She could also check in before I arrived. The security guard are also very nice to the girls.
So you can bring your girl with you w/o problem.

Agreed upon !
I have to agree.
Spent about 3 weeks there last November-December. Nothing at all to complain about. Great staff, good value, great location. Can not wait to get back. Hope a Summer Suite is still available.
Planning on staying there my next visit if all of the above posts did not book the place up. Looking for a either a Nov-Dec or a Dec-Jan stay.....We will see how things work out.
Until then, jealous of all of the BM's on tour. Enjoy!!!! I know I will upon my return.

Have already booked my accommodation for my trip in December 06. After reading all the comments and seeing the website, i have decided to go earlier and stay at Summer Breeze for a few nights before moving to the place i booked.
Can always go back to Summer Breeze for food and drinks and hang out with the friendly people.
Cant wait. 3 more month!!! Yahoo!!!
Cheers!!!

How come no-one has mentioned the size of the rooms at Summer Breeze .....
or did I just happen to get a little persons room by mistake ?
Everything as mentioned is fantastic (staff included) but I found my room just a tad claustophobic ... or is just me being a giant in the LOS

There have been a few comments about the various rooms , guess it just depends on what you are after. I am staying in one of the "Summer Suites" again this trip and don't mind paying a bit more to have the extra room.

Oh ... I just booked a standard room, I guess the summer suites are the go.
Though if the summer suites are at the front, wouldn't that be a bit noisier (doof doof) in the late of the evening ??.... a large tv, eh!

Good stuff. Which site did you use to book? I couldn't find CSB on the forum's hotel listing http://www.phuket-info.com/hotel/phuket/index.php

I enjoyed a couple of jaunts to the CSB (Courage Special Brew - That was for Crusty) and although not staying there was pleasantly surprised by both the cleanliness, the decor, the staff and the fact that Bill stood me a coke or three. Oh, I also got to watch FT leaving from there which isn't such a bad thing! Only kidding Mike.
As you know I do like my pool and often go for an apres night out fat B'stard dip (as opposed to a skinny dip) in the middle of the night. How far do I have to scurry with a gang of women chasing me Benny Hill style in my thong down San Sabai before I can dip my toes in the water?

I'd seen the site, but their rack rates are a bit above my budget, so was hoping maybe there were some discounts available elsewhere
