Plan to go Krabi in Feb 07

I touch down at Phuket at about 2.00pm. I understand the ferries that depart Phuket to Phi Phi and Krabi leaves very early in the morning.

I dont want to spend one night in Phuket, so what should i do? What alternatives?

The place i plan to stay in Ao Nang is Sunrise Tropical Resort.

They do provide transfer from Phuket Airport to the hotel for 2500 baht nett one way.

Might have to take that offer if i cant find other alternatives.

Please give some info.

can't you change your flight to krabi airport?

Steve, i've thought of that, but you see, Air Asia doesnt fly to Krabi.

However Tiger Airways does, but i would have to travel to Singapore from KL (i am from KL) and that would add up to the total cost of my holiday.

Still thinking now.

if you take a taxi to krabi it should be about 2000 baht.
maybe there are some public buses to krabi, but i'm not sure about the comfort-level on those...

you could always rent a car for about 1300 bht a day

I'd go out to the Taxi Meter guys top left corner of the carpark and offer one 1500 then maybe go to 2000 to take me. I'm sure there'd be a taker. You could take the shuttle bus to Phuket Town and then an a/c bus to Baan Talaat Kao but that would take about 6 hours!...or just pay the 2500 hotel transfer...that's not a lot of money and as it's the start of your trip you want to get there quickly. Air Andaman did fly Phuket to Krabi for a while but didn't last very long.
