Pool hours? Safari beach hotel..

Iv noticed alot of hotels in phuket allow you to swim in there pools 24hrs, i love this as in the US most hotels only allow you with a lifeguard and they are only on duty till about 10pm or so. Does anyone know what the hours of the pool are at Safari beach hotel? i e-mailed but didnt get a response back.
thanks so much

The pool at Safari Beach Hotel closes as 6pm. But then yes, do as suggested, just go to the beach, it's wonderful even at night at it's just across the road (though a short alley).

You wouldn't want to go swimming at night during the summer months, it's dangerous enough during the daytime.

Some of the hotels don`t allow it anymore. After some BM`s had a poolparty and people had complaints. Some swedish members know more about this.

I know (although we were doing it when I was there in July - but we didn't go longer out than our belly button). But since Jadexx is going there in March, then it should be fine!

Rgds,

Very good advice Geespot......and goes for all of Thailand......

Doesn't anyone read the news section in this forum????......there have been many people robbed, beaten + even killed on Thai beaches this year alone.....

Don't want to sound alarmist here but the beach with its isolation, cover of darkness and noise from the surf is a place where people with bad intentions congregate...

I agree entirely with GS and Nels on this one...you wouldn't catch me on the beach after dark...

There was an Aussie girl, I think it was at New Year, who was on the beach at night on Koh Samui...she was talking on the phone to her mother and was attacked by a couple of fisherman...raped and murdered...

I don't want to sound alarmist either but it would seem just good sense not to be on the beach after dark...sunset at the latest...

Also another tip...don't mix alcohol with swimming...not a good combination...

Pool hours? Safari beach hotel..

I can comfirm that

One of my biggest mistakes in Thailand was that i on my first trip to Patong in 95 did go for a sleep at the beach night time piss drunk.

On my way home to the hotell i did get that idea
that a smoke and a rest at the beach would be a nice thing to do

It ended well, but i have thought about it aftherwards
it could have gone very wrong, and it was close
