New Airport Tax 700 Baht
I have heard that with the new airport in BKK the airport tax will be 700 Baht. Can someone confirm this???
Also in February 2007 the tax will be included in the airfare!!!
I think this is a good idea.

I read about increasing the airport tax long time ago, I am still surprised it is still 500 baht. Maybe they delayed the raise due to the tsunami.

Tax
Is it the same for Bangkok (700b baht)? Wouldn't suprise me if there was a tsunami tax there also. Why don't they just raise it to a neat 1000 baht, seems to be the standard payment for eveyone else or maybe they are scared of being asked for "extras".

Still 500 THB for international departures.
This week at Suvarnabumhi the tax was waived... Not sure when they start, or did start, charging here.

This means hopping a few days to another country also will make your trip much more expensive.....

I dont know if a 200 baht increase qualifies as 'much' difference in a international trip ??
