One of our trio of trekkers has been to Sihanoukville and wants us to check it out on our next trip to LOS. Can anyone please advise if any of the larger carrriers are flyin into Sihanoukville's new airport?
Anyone's thoughts on the place would be appreciated too,
Thanks

The IATA code for Sihanoukville is KOS. Non of the major res systems even have this code loaded, let alone show flights.

Thanks stevem, we may have to fly to Phnom Pen & bus it in. Suppose eventually there'll be flights there.

I was there last sept, stayed there for a few days, maybe shaping up is the right word,no where near the status of patts or patong, found it very quiet, maybe it was the time of year.
but.........still liked the place, some alright beaches and places to party, and some lovely chicks down that way too.ahh memories.
down by the port there is some action, still a bit of a shanty look about it,(wooden huts with red lights),,well bumpy road, not tarmac'd,mission on the ped.went to a karaoke place called V bar?picked up this hottie, she was no more than 40kg,lovely girl, showed me around a bit, even came up to PP for a while with me,
be intresting to see when this place kicks off.already gettin a lot more tourism by the sounds of things.
defintely wanna go back.

Yep......spend a couple of days in PP then go down to SV by bus.....it is a good place for a bit of R+R for a few days but you'd get pretty bored after say a week IMHO.......as Wylos said it's a bit of a mixed bag......was meant to be the Vegas of Cambo......but its a sad little place in some ways...but the beaches are passable...

You can scuba dive down there too if you are interested....much better than I had expected....better than Viet for example...probably about the standard of Patts........
