China airways had a twice weekly flight to Phuket from Hong Kong. However, this service was cancelled after the Tsunami. It might be worth checking with them to see what the status quo is,

Hope this helps

Not sure Dragon have restarted the Phuket route again yet.

Supposedly Orient Thai are flying to HK already, and Hong Kong Express are due to start this month.

Not sure how hard you looked but you do know THAI fly the Phuket HK route??

I've read about Orient starting a Phuket to Hong Kong service, but it doesn't show on their web site https://www.fly12go.com/b2c/front/bo...p?language=ENG

I checked now as I am also interested to go to HK maybe next month for visa run.

It shows on their website (One-Two-Go by Orient Thai Airlines)

Daily 16:50 from Phuket and back to Phuket daily at 08:10.

Just need to find out the price. (Could only find price for domestic flights)

Hi Nicke,

Try clicking on the booking tab and select Phuket as the 'from' option, and the only destination available shows Bangkok. I'm puzzed why this is. Maybe they've not updated the web site yet...whatever it seems impossible to book over the internet

I asked a travel agency today, she didnt even know they had that route. Anyway, she called around and I was quoted 9800 baht including taxes for roundtrip ticket. For infants, Nathalie, would be 3,xxx something.

So I will go to HK with the family soon, for my next visa run.

They also had a package deal with China Airlines from Bangkok that may be cheaper (hotel included) but then you have to buy ticket to Bangkok too and I dont want that extra leg.

Hogn Kong - Bangkok, check this site:

ZUJI: Your Online Travel Guru

It is a reliable site assocatied with Travelocity.com
Price quoted on the web site is in HK dollar. (1 us $ = +/- 7.8 hk $)
Sometimes they have fare to Bangkok as low as $110 US dollars + tax.
you can get a return ticket (14 days) for around US160.

Zuji does not have a brilliant reputation in Hong Kong. Happy enough to take your money, but.....

I wouldn't use them, but OK to check prices, then bargain with agent.

I've posted some details on direct HKG-HKT flights here:-

http://www.phuket-info.com/forums/ex...visa-runs.html

Will be cheaper to book online direct with the airline than go through a travel agent.

Saw on one two go website the other day, 1 stop on way to HK (dont know where) but direct on way back. Could not see prices as previously mentioned by another poster, but did noticed they were using 747 with 444 seats in economy. Would be more aptly titled sardine class, the outward leg is advertised at 5 Hrs +

Trip to HKG, flight prices are the least of your worries - hotel are Very expensive, though usually quite good.

It is certainly that but definately worth it for an extended visa run if you have never been before. I certainly want to get back there sometime.

I've flown them a couple of times. Not bad but very basic. No booze and the plane was ancient. It was a 747 100 built in the 60's. Haven't flown them for a while though so maybe now they've upgraded.

Hallo everybody,

I'm new in the Forum so I hope I don't make any mistake in submitting a post; as I often flew between Phuket and Hong Kong before, i can tell you that the only way to buy a ticket between Phuket and Hong Kong (but last year Orienthai did not operate that flight) or Bangkok and Honk Kong is through a local travel agency, you can't book it online.

Ciao

Filippo
