Patong Merlin - Q for those who've stayed there
I just wanted to know if they have adapters in the rooms so that I can plug in my Australian electronics in, or if I should buy one and take it over with me? Or if you can you can buy them over there. Sorry if this sounds stupid, first timer on a holiday!

You can either buy your adapter at the airport (cheaper in duty free), in your home town or at many places in Patong.
I know they sell them in Ocean in Bangla Rd for certain. Up 2 You.
Enjoy your trip.

Most power plugs on Thailand is the same as USA, except 220-240V (same as Aussie). Some are the same continental Europe.

Oz style electric plugs will fit into a standard Thai power socket, if you push hard enough.

Patong Merlin is most certainly not girl friendly. If they let them in at all it will cost you about 5000 baht!!

As marlin258 says, just ask reception they have plenty. Having stayed there once before quite recently, my opinion would be for you to maybe try choose elsewhere. i have no qualms about Patong Merlin but for far less money you could do better. The staff were ok and pools were great food and drink pricey and thats really about it. The place is really targeted to the package deal type tourist.
Enjoy your trip.
