Anyone know what happened to the meter-taxis on HKT?

They used to have a stand over at the parkinglot, but the last 2 or 3 times i arrived i have seen no sign of them..

Once you exit the terminal, turn right and walk all the way to the end, you will see them there.

Actually there is a sign on the wall pointing right for Meter Teksi

Thats where i found them leave the airport and to the right there is a yellow kiosk.

One question more than likely answered before.

How do you get a meter taxi when your in Patong and want to go back to the airport. Except for maybe asking the taxi driver for his phone number, do they park anywhere near patong or are the Tuk Tuk mafia in charge for local rides and then you have to use one of the private hire company's

If you get a good guy at the airport stand get a card from him + give him a call a day or 2 before you want to go back....always works for me......

failing that reasonable hotels will get you one for 400-500BHT......

Failing that....there are sometimes a few taxis parked on Beach Rd (Thaveewong) opposite Sawaditirak Rd on the beach side......if you walk past one of these guys and like the lok of them you can have a chat and arange pick up and price....but don't try to arrange it on the spot....they won't take you from there.....only your hotel !!

The Taxi Meter can be called on 0862670424 .

Best thing is call them in BKK and they will come pick you up right outside the gate.
