Planning next trip.

Hi all,
Looking at coming out again to patong 1st quarter next year, what with all the upheavals lately in thailand with coups/ newairports etc, am i going to encounter any problems with the tourist visa (is it still given out during the flight?)or getting to the pre-booked connecting domestic flight at BKK? I'm assuming my luggage goes straight through to phuket as before.

Coup hasn't caused any problems yet.

New airport going fine.

Touriast Visa still available unless your going to travel more than 3 times in the next 6 months.

Lugguage straight through if booked with same airline.

Not trying to be pedantic but your both using the wrong wording / terms.. A tourist visa is a 60 day visa that you can get, that is applied before you come here.. There is also a VOA (Visa on arrival) issued for 40 some countries and a 30 day visa free stamp (which is what ost people have been using)..

But yes unless you are here >3x 30 days in 180 then your ok..

Agree, the "visa" gives you the ability, the "stamp" gives you the time. If you don't have a document pasted into your passport, you do not possess a visa, but are still welcome to a 30 day stamp.
