Ban Thai Beach Resort

Decided that my next trip to LOS will be in late April or early May next year. Being the prudent person i am, starting to look into accomadation early and want to try somewhere new. Found this one that looks pretty good - phuket resort phuket hotel resort in phuket thailand

Has any one stayed at the Ban thai Beach Resort on Thaveewong Road??

Just wondering what its like, and if anyone has any information on this property that they would like to share.

Cheers in advance

Jaysen

Well right on the beach.. Middle of town..

But at 5k room rates (and up) at the moment (not listing properly high season) I feel its pricy.. Rooms dont look good enough for that money IMHO..

Only looking at the site.. Dont know the place..

I visited Marc26 when he was at the hotel. One day I came over with a BG to visit and got the evil eye and she was very well dressed at the time, much better than me. The next day came over by myself and no problems.

and the rooms were small. Access to the pool from your room was nice but the room was the same size as my room and I paid 1/4 of what Marc26 did.

In short; good hotel; good location and nice pools. My friends staying here had no issues at all with security. Drove one of them almost on the motocycle up to reception, he walked up happily with some company in tow. I thought the rooms were OK and worth the price paid. In all.... a recommended hotel.
Another favourable point is having 'Flavours' restaurant direct out of the entrance....

Flavours run by Arkon from Issaan and his French wife Cathy is a good restaurant, don't think it has anything to do with the hotel.

Great Place

I really like this Hotel and have been staying 3 or four times a year for many years.

You should be able to get a room for under 2,000 baht for the time you want and if you keep emailing then they will drop the tax and service and joiner.

They are in a great location and the rooms are to a high standard.

They may be pricing themselfs out of the market though and I dont think that they are value for money during the high season.

They quoted me a special rate of £1,100 for 2 weeks (thats 77,000 baht)

So I would suggest that you find a more resonable place for high season and buy your self a nice Xmas present down Bangla Road.

Regards

Drew
