nok air booking by credit card

went online to book my bkk-phuket-bkk flight.

their online system does not take overseas credit card payment, so they want me to send them the info below by email or fax:

1) Copy if the ID card of the credit card holder

2) Copy of the front page of the credit card that you wish to order Nok Flights

3) CVV number (the last 3 digits on the back of the credit card.

4) Name/ contact number / email address

is it safe to email all this details??
its got all the info to do anything if it got in the wrong hands...

If you feel uncomfortable emailing it, then ring them.

One reason I dont book nok even if its cheaper.. They make booking it all such hard work..

Also at issue (cant remember if its nok) is that often the credit card holder has to be flying with the person and sometimes I am booking tickets for my missus.. All just gets awkward.

Then try and see if you can fax it to them. Book Thai, fare higher but no dramas, like your experiencing at the moment.

Cool

About 2 months ago I booked tickets by email with Nok Air and sent them the instructions they asked for. They confirmed the ticket sales the next day and I had no problems when I turned up at Bangkok and checked in. I know it's risky sending the details like that, but I have had no problems since.

I booked their Nok Plus seats which are exactly the same as Thai Airways' Business Class seats, but just over half the price. I got a snack and was offered tea or coffee but had to pay for any other drinks. Apart from that the only other difference was that we parked away from the building at Udon Thani airport and had to walk across the tarmac to the baggage reclaim area - no big deal really.

If you don't fancy sending your details and prefer to buy your tickets when you get to Bangkok, then their sales booth is very easy to find.

Good luck

thanks for that...actually I just ended up sending everything by email with each document as a seperate email so less likely to get scammed. next day had to call them up to follow up and they emailed me the confirmation right away.

all went well with booking....wasn't a big deal.

now I just hope the flight is on time.

My flights BKK to Udon Thani and back again were both fairly much on time, maybe 10 minutes later than the suggested flight times but I think they factor in some contingency. It was hardly noticeable to me mainly because I had plenty of time for my connecting flight in BKK. If times are a bit tight, then I might have paid more attention. When reaching BKK, the luggage was already on the carousel going round when I got there and I was seated at the front of the plane. :o)

Good luck

I also wanted to book tickets from bkk to phuket on nok air, as it seemed to offer the best deal out of all other airlines, and right after everything is done on the booking form, you get this message saying overseas credit cards are not accepted....oh bummer...
I called them up and a very polite operator told me that i needed to send my details on a fax...i couldn't understand what she was saying so i just thought, this is too much of a hassle, so i found fly12go and got tickets from there instead.

Not very conmercial....

When you read about CC being stolen, how can you show them if you have to check in....

But does this mean, that your cc-details are abused? Not so sure, as in Thailand, you have more chance for that, by just paying in the restaurant.
