Long time rent in Patong!

I will also attend a dive master class, but have not made up my choise yet, anyone have any links, and tips?
Karun and Kata is alsow interesting for room and diving!
Thank you
Paul

Look around Nanai and the off streets.. Will find accomodation monthly at those rates no problem.. Studio room or small one bed.. Act fast as Dec will get MUCH harder.

this looks good?
Nanai Villa - Patong Beach, Phuket, Thailand
Anyone got feedback on this place?
LIL from the map on this site could you please advise how far along Nani Road Soi 2 is from the turn up to your place/Nicky's massage shop. Be gratful if you could my memory says down hill northwards to 7/11 than around the nasty bend at bridge maybe past a residential building site (LHS) that was active this July?
Just found a street map....Is the offshore bar at the junction of this Soi with Nanai Road?
Also am I correct in recalling Patong's refuse dump is in the land between the lower end of Soi 2? I recall threads of people asking if the "short cut" was still open. If so is the refuse dump still in use and err smelly?
Thanks
Dave

I believe the shortcut is now blocked off Dave. That is the one at the end of Nanai2 by the Peter Pan Hotel?
There is a post somewhere here about it but I can't locate it at the moment.

Cheers Roger
thanks Roger...be obliged for any info on current short-cuts from Nanai to beach road/bangla.
Have used the one that takes you either through the new indoor market or around it over the dirt track to Sonsabi (spelling is sh*t) but if you have to walk back up Nani Soi 2 to go north then short-cut I can find easier access to beach from Sunhill Hotel area and the Xroads
Cheers

That's the thread.......but looks like I mistook a sewage works for a rubbish dump.
I suspect with a sewage works at end of Soi 2 area that hotels in the vicinity could get a bit of a "stink"
Looks like the hotel is off my potential list unless others can advise differently

My first trip I stayed at Peter Pan at the very end of Nanai2 and there was no smell from the sewage works then. I wouldn't think any other hotel around Nanai was closer so I wouldn't rule out your choice for that reason Dave.
Thanks for looking out that thread MrDK, I was a bit lazy today

If you have a look at Sunems maps thay are very accurate in distance.. So you can see how Nanai / Nanai 2 all fit together..
On Nanai 2 area you will need to get yourself a scooter (unless you like a walk) as its a bit out of the way and MB taxi's wont always be cruising past.

Unsure if you were offering to show me around or just show anyone around in particular? I'll decline your offer in any case thank you.
If you have some info on potential accommodation please post it openly so that everyone can benefit.
PS welcome to the Forum as I notice your offer was your first post. Look forward to lots of posts from you outlining details of bars/accommodation and life in Patong

caerphilly recommendations
in patong: welcome inn, u2 mansion (both off ratuthit), brommathai guesthouse (new soi galaxy). The last one has adsl in the room, cable tv, welcome inn has wireless, cable, u2 is next to u2 computer store, has cable and has phone in the room so internet should be doable. I have stayed in all of them. Price range for all of them about 12000 to 15000 baht. my email address above already recieves a hundred pieces of spam a day. Is there a presonal message feature on this board?

Yes, click on the users name you want to send a Private Message (PM) to and there is a drop down menu. The function is the second one down IIRC.
