Singapore Airlines sticks it ot Jetstar

Any Ozzie BM's looking at considering using Jetstar flights to Phuket or Bangkok, consider checking out Singapore as they are sticking it to Jetstar. With ads running saying things like

• we will feed you - Jetstar you pay for food and drink
  you have inseat entertainment - Jetstar you pay for a handheld video
  they will give you a blanket and pillow - Jetstar you pay for it

Checked out March next year Sydney/Phuket and the fares came out as

Jetstar AUD$977
Singapore AUD$962

I'll take a Singapore flight via SIN anyday over a nonstop Jetstar flight.

Yes, i did a comparison.

SQ is really giving Jetstar a good fight.

At least there is a choice for those who prefer direct flights.

But for those from this part of the world, it would be nice to travel to HKT/BKK for a couple of nights then fly Jetstar to Aussie. It's like visiting 2 places instead of one.

I might do this route next year.

Might be on that route.. Sure was dirt cheap to go Singapore Denpassar (Bali) and pretty good service IMHO..

Maybe I am just low rent but the short haul routes I dont have a problem with the cheapies..
