I agree with D'oh!mer,
Highly Recommended!
stayed at Stoneys have stayed there before and the same time as D'oh!mer last trip and Its a sound hotel, very clean, the staff are excellent, nice little bar for Happy hour, decent enough food, guest friendly, friendly regulars and reasonable rates. Massage next door, 7-11 across street and Laundry straight across Soi. Booked up for New Year and Songkran. Basically everything you want although it is a 10-15minute walk from Bangla but this also has the advantage of being quiet enough to relax and its no problem to get a TUK TUK. No pool but beach is only a 5minute walk.
Like D'oh!mer says also a nice little bar on the corner of the Soi if you cant be bothered going to Bangla.
All in all i would say a good choice!

Totally agree with this being a great little place to stay. The only drawback I had with the Sheer Relaxation room was the daily climb up five flights of stairs. It was fantastic having the little blow up pool right outside my window and taking my cute little interest of the evening out there for a romp.

Its right on past Andaman Beach Suites almost at the northern end of Rat u Thit on the opposite side of the road and a very long walk to and from Bangla.
Talking to a couple of BMs who liked the place, but didn't like the steep steps, lack of pool, and that long walk. It is guest friendly though.

The new wing they have added since the change of ownership has cut the sun from the pool but in this temp thats hardly a huge issue..
The Sun Hill hotel seems to get a lot of return custom too..

Stoney Monday/ What next
Hey thanks for the info. So now all I have to work out is where to head after dropping hand luggage. Will arrive at hotel maybe arround midnight. So where do you suggest to head to straight up, A little on the fussy side like the refined things. So looking up market. Can't wait for your answers

This MAP will give you an idea of where to go. Stoney Monday hotel is near the top of the page just off to the right of the middle road.
Have fun

Palm View further away from bangla? .....i don't know how you came to that conclusion.
you just cut through past the indoor market and your on soi san sabai! plus no heavy traffic...20 bht motor bike taxi or walk.

Because it is in Nanai Road ??
Cutting through the indoor market - doesn't that then mean walking down an unlight road for a while before reaching soi San Sabai ?? I don't know and hence why I am asking. I do recall a thread on here a while back where people stated that walking from Nanai Road down to Bangla Road was not to be recommended. It that has changed, then it would be useful info to post here
What I do know is that tuk-tuks will often try and charge more than the usual 100baht from Nanai Road to Bangla Road. As for m/bike taxis - I have not yet seen a m/bike big enough to carry me as a pillion passenger !!
