Rajah Mansion

I did do a search, and saw a few posts about the Rajah Hotel in Bangkok and I know it is on par with the Nana Hotel (maybe lower in standard), but does anyone know anything about the Rajah Mansion??

I've stayed at the Rajah Hotel once (Nana was full ), and don't mind it for a one or two nights, but I am trying to book for a month in Bangkok this time (lower Suk area). So, did they gut a section of the Rajah Hotel to make nicer rooms? Take a look at this link please, it is a very recently made website:

Looks very nice for the prices. I currently have reservations at the Alta House (no cc given) and don't want to call and cancel unless this is the real thing.

Can't help you much. I have been at the lower level and it looked OK. The bar at the inside corner of the parking lot is nothing to write home about.

I looked at the hotel's site and thought it was quite impressive. 44 m² at 20,000 baht per month (or 11K for 26 m²) the prices are great and the rooms looks good. Even Internet is cheap.
If it was me I would only have 2 questions: G/f? and estimated water/elec cost?

Well looks nice enough Tan....the prices does seem tempting.

And it doesnt bear any resemblence to Rajah Hotel....Which in my opinion is cheap but to be considered the Dump off SE Asia

Just thought I would throw in an addendum here for anyone on a long stay tour in BKK:

Rajah Mansion is decent/so-so (I think I miss the Nana Hotel ). It has just about all the amenities you could need in the lobby. Good location on Suk 4, just a stone's throw from Nana and Dynasty. Room is small though (at least the 11,000 per month ones). Quality furniture and flat screen TV's, GF, Sin Bar across the park, etc. Not sure if they do weekly rates. Water and elec is extra, but not that much. One month deposit required.
