Same same.
Last January did Amsterdam-KL-Bali. Average service. Leg room a bit more than with SQ. But still I prefer Singapore Airlines.

Did FCO-KUL-HKT-KUL-LHR 2 years ago.
I really enjoyed flying with Malaysia Airlines. Food was great. Staff helpful and friendly. The only drawback was that I had to wait 4 hours in KL for my connecting flight to HKT (it was early in the morning). For the return flight: 14 hours to wait in KL but that gave me the opportunity to visit the town.

I flew DUB -> LHR -> KLIA-> BKK, last september.

It was a bit of an ordeal! 3 hour stopover in LHR, most of that was spent getting through security... 5 hour stopover in KLIA before final leg to BKK.

It was a 12.5 hour flight from London to KL. I thought the sevice and food was great...
Easily the best looking stewardesses I ever seen... Friendly and smiley too...

On the way back I stopped over in KL for 3 days (€70 charge to change). Well worth it. An interesting city, easy to get around and plenty to do and see, way different to LOS/BKK though.

Do yourself a favor, don't drink too much before the long flights. It will Fcuk you up!

Have a good trip!

I had not too much time to do alot of things... So here is what I did:
At the airport, I took the KLIA express train to go downtown. I like the view you have on the city when arriving in town. For a first timer, it's really impressive! At the Sentral station: I took a taxi to KLCC. Unfortunately, it was too late (although early afternoon) to visit the skybridge at the Petronas tower but the guy I spoke with there suggested me to give a look at the KL tower. So I visited the shopping mall at KLCC (looks like Emporium in BKK) then headed to the KL tower (or Menara telecom tower) by taxi. The city view from the top of the tower is wonderful. Then I took a taxi back to Sentral station and the train to KLIA.
All the people I spoke with were very friendly. No bullshit with taxi drivers. I really think that the welcome was warmer and more pleasant than in Thailand.
