Trike rental?

Hi all..1st time posting tho I've been lurking on these forums for many months..great bunch of guys and good info too...my question:Can you rent trikes in LOS? and if so do you need a helmet to ride them?..I've heard that in England and Oz they are considered as cars and no helmet is required.BTW I mean a Rewaco type cool looking trike not a rental tuk tuk :-) Thanks in advance.

Hi again All..just realized I probably should have introduced myself 1st in Newbies section..sorry about that jsut thought a question about trikes (which I love) would be better than a bunch of stuff about me..still I should've went to newbies 1st..a little about me: I'm 43 and live in Montreal,Quebec,Canada and I found this forum while searching the P.I. as my brother has been there and kept telling me I would love it there.I'm not that big on geography and didn't realize LOS had palm trees,white sand beaches and turquoise waters!..My bro laughed at me when I told him I "Discovered" Thailand..lol..Now for several months I've been dreaming of the place(especially Phuket). I hope I can make it down there sometime but I fear it won't be for a while. I know I would love and would like to visit MTB.I'm sure many of you have heard this many times but I feel like I already know many of you and that must be a little weird for you.It feels weird to me as I type it..lol.Don't worry I'm not a stalker and would only stalk BG's if I was ;-)..I think that's enough out of me for now except for a Hearty Greetings and I hope you all the best.

Hello there Meadowind

In all my trips to phuket i have never seen a single trike on the roads, loads of sportsbike and cruisers for rent so perhaps you may have to make do with one of those?

when are you arriving?

Simon

Meadowind, I travelled a few miles on a hog last trip & I gotta say that I can't recall seeing a trike either, like Simon stated.

I will gladly point you in the right direction & you can give these guys a go...........If there is a trike hire place, Sumon the boss will know all about it.

I recommend these guys to all, if you're ever needing a Harley or similar to rent.

Their website is :: นิตยสาร ไรด์ ไทยแลนด์ แมกกาซีน - Ride Thailand Magazine

By the way..........Helmets are required on trikes here in NSW....would imagine same for rest of Oz too.

All the best with your travels.

You dont need a trike to take 2 girls back, i think the most i have seen on a honda wave was 2 adults a child and a dog, but i think the record has been 5 on a single bike.

Theres a few privately owned trikes (one superb harley conversion I know of but worth as much as a merc) but none for rent that I know..

You see them out during bike week or special runs..
