Yeah stayed there a couple of years ago, reception staff very friendly, hotel is guest friendly, clean okay rooms, mine was a corner room so had windows on two sides, no view but nice and light. Easy walking distance to Bangla and the Beach.

Its cheap because no pool, no views, no dining facilities but I liked it, can always swim in the sea, eat out and stagger home easily from anywhere. Its always hard to say if a room is good or not as we all expect or want different standards but for me this was as good a room as any of the 3 star hotels, bed was big, clean and comfortable and there is a nice quality about staying in a small hotel, getting to know the owners etc. My opinion, go for it, good value for high season!!

Dodger,

Thanks for the info. Your standards of reasonable accomodations are on par with mine. I just need a clean place to sleep and shower.

Just need two more bits of info, how was the bathroom/shower? and is there an in-room safe deposit or is it at reception?

It had a shower room rather than cubicle, but when I stayed there it was the first time I had ever had a shower room and therefor liked it cos of its difference, no probs with wet floor as long as you put the mat directly outside the bathroom to keep your bedroom floor dry.

Safe was in reception, didn't like that so never used it just hid stuff in places that when drunk couldn't remember where they were, but that was a bit like getting a quick game of hide and seek everyday so added to a bit of fun.

By what you have said about room, 'book it Danno' (Hawaii 5-0 reference, just in case you are too young to remember hawaii 5-0).
