If its the Royal Palm Beach Hotell ive stayd there two times.
First time in 96 and was ok,next time in 2000 was a big hassle with taking guests home.
They want the family guest type custommer.
And if that is your thing the hotel is ok,nice rooms and good loacation.
BTW they have a nice restaurant in the first floor and only some meters to walk the beach.

5 nights gives you time to find something else....but the palm quite ok, managed by a thai fellow...popular for singapore\hongkong people...
No english news channel on tv....reasonable considering the beach just
cross the street...

Stayed there in my trip last month. Pretty decent and nice breakfast. They do ask for a 500 baht joiner fee for guest and if you keep bringing girls they say they're fully booked in case you and your mate want separate rooms! I also think they want to attract the family type since I did see lots of children. So, as usual, it's up to you!

I stayed at the Royal Palm last May. I had no idea what LOS had to offer and only brought back a BG on my third to last night. Albeit i was REALLY drunk, i had no problem bringing her into the room. She did have to leave her ID at the front desk but i don't remember a charge to the room. Although i didn't look at my bill too hard after checkout time. I enjoyed the hotel, the pool on the rooftop was nothing special, but it's right across from the beach and the restaurant was good. The room was also very clean with prompt room service every day...

**** all happened, reported it to police, police suspected one of us at first,
took our fingerprints off us and all staff in hotel and around rooms and safes.
yeah money was in room safes, not just one was robbed, 3 were robbed!
but they didn't take it all, we all had cash and you would hardly miss couple of 1000 baht in 150,000 baht, until end of holiday. some of police were helpful but not very many... in total roughly 4000euro went missing
my advice DONT ever stay there!
stayed in nice place after that 'the residence' out in kalim bay near patong,
top quality place, no STAMP DUTY on women coming back to apartment!
