British Airways is to cancel all UK domestic services from London Heathrow tomorrow (Thursday 21st) following severe fog.

Other airlines may be affected , so check with airline/airport before setting off.

Yeah, I saw it on the tv news here this morning. Huge delays are expected as well. I hope that not too many British BM's will be hit by this fog (Fc.k) delay! As it may also affect international departures.

Cool More fog expected

Saw the BBC today and their weather expert was saying that there could be more early morning fog for the next several days.

It is bright and clear over Phuket.

Looks like the fog will lift from London airports for tomorrow (Saturday).

What I want to know is, why didnt they do like they did during the War and burn drums of diesel along the runway to lift the fog

Does that really work!?

Even if it does work, that would no doubt fall foul of the uk's health and safety brigade!!

To be fair, if I was taking off from a runway that was lined with fire from burning diesel, I'd be a tad concerned!

It was said tongue in cheek but yes it does work as the hot air produced rises taking the fog with it and yes they used to do it during the war.

I doubt it wouldmake it past the Risk Assessment and Enviromental Impact study LoL!

If I was waiting 2 days to fly to LOS I would fly THROUGH a diesel fire!
