C&N Resort

Hi

I search for C&N resort and this was the closest I got.. just wanted to check quickly they are guest friendly? I see the hotel is friendly.

Last week in February for 7 days 1170 Baht per night. Quite a good deal I thought!!!!!

C&N Resort

I have made a new thread here for any questions re the above resort. Just to save any confusion over the C&N Hotel. Under the same management, but two different places.

Thanks Dawsey.

Some of the posts I found about the resort were 2 years old and maybe the resort had changed it's rules.

Cheers

Si

No problem, hopefully somebody will answer your question for you shortly. I would imagine that as its under the same management, then its still GF but places can can change as you say.

Hey Tas1

Resort , Spa , Accommodation, Phuket Resort, Phuket Spa, Patong Resort, Patong Spa, Patong Apartment, Phuketresortandspa, Patong Mansion, Patong Guesthouse, Patong Beach, Tropical, Life Spa, Sea View Resort, Tropical Resort, Phuket, Thailand. is their new website. if you stay for:

Stay 1-6 nights: 5 %discount
Stay 7-13 nights: 10%discount
Stay 14 nights: 15%discount

I booked 7 nights 21st - 28th February just waiting for confirmation.....

They own a hotel and resort both Girl Friendly. Apparently the hotel is about 2km's away and nearer the action. I wanted some where a bit out and standard room in February is only 1170 (with 10% discount).

Too far to walk in my opinion but can take motorbike taxi 20/40 baht. My personal preferance was always to get a hotel within easy walking distance, best soi for that in my opinion is Soi Sansabai.

Hi

If staying at the hotel they can call you a taxi. I understand it is on the main road to Karon so there would be lots of taxi's going passed???????

so it will cost about 50p for taxi..... doesn't sound too bad to be a bit out and enjoy the peace and relax. Spending 5 days in BKK beforehand on the Sukhumvit Rd (Majestic Suites)

More like £1 .50, each way, soon adds up is the way I see it.Not so many taxis going that way at night. Min fare I think is 100baht inside Patong. But its your choice obviously. You would be surprised how peaceful and quiet some places can be right in the heart of Patong.

My choice would be Jintana Patong Hotel about 5/10mins walk from Bangla with a nice pool and really quiet there. Either there or one of the many hotels in Soi Sansbai. Expat has a pool.

I did look at this hotel as they are priced the same. I did like the C&N Resort as it had the safes in the room and not behind reception.

If C&N causes too much of a problem we can always check out and move closer to town.

Thanks for the info and help Dawsey...... Looking into flights from BKK to Phuket now.... THEN my whole trip is organised 7 weeks to go

Question

OK I have been waiting 6 days for a confirmation of my reservation with the C&N Resort.

I have emailed them twice and got an email 4 days ago saying they wil get back to me with confirmation. Still nothing.

Is this usual?? When I booked my 2 hotels in bangkok I had replies and confirmation within 24 hours and very good service.

Thinking of taking Dawsey's advice and booking Jintana Hotel instead now! Are the safes behind reception secure at Jintana's???? Should I cancel my C&N Resort reservation??

Simon

There are quite often delays with confirmation of bookings from LOS Simon. Also, there has been a big problem the past few days with internet connections due to the Taiwan earthquake (undersea cables to be repaired)

As far as booking another hotel, thats up to you in the end. My suggestion for the Jintana is that its so much closer to the nightlife, and its a cheapish ,nice hotel with a great pool. Welcome To Jintana Patong - Phuket Patong Beach - Thailand
I expect others will have lots of other recommendations as well.

Edit: BTW I had no problems leaving cash/passport etc in the reception strongboxes at Jintana.

You're right.

Just read article from co worker regarding this, They say it could be 3 weeks before everything is back to normal.... 7 weeks to go here is article below.....

Taiwan Earthquake Paralyzes Asian Communication
An earthquake in southern Taiwan on Tuesday night damaged an undersea optic cable, causing serious disruptions to international phone lines and Internet connections in Korea, Taiwan, China, Japan and Southeast Asia.

The earthquake estimated at 7.1 magnitude by the U.S. Geological Survey shook the ocean floor 23 km southwest of Hengchun, southern Taiwan at 9:26 p.m. on Tuesday. At least six undersea optic cables connecting Korea, China and Japan, Hong Kong and Macau, and mainland China, Hong Kong, the U.S. and Europe were cut off, causing communications interruptions on Wednesday.
Taiwan was the worst affected. Chunghwa Telecom said 60 percent of the phone lines to the U.S. were cut off and 98 percent of communication linking Taiwan with Malaysia and Singapore suffered disruptions. The company forecast it will take two to three weeks for the nation to completely repair the damaged cables. The earthquake also disrupted 1,400 phone lines and 84 international phone lines of Japanese telecom firm NTT, making it impossible to call Southeast Asia from Japan.
In China, the earthquake temporarily blocked access to major foreign websites and caused partial disruptions to phone calls to Taiwan and Hong Kong. Korea Telecom said a total of 9,985 communications lines were damaged including 9,871 ordinary call lines, 92 dedicated lines and 33 Internet lines as six undersea cables connecting Korea and Taiwan were damaged. Citibank Korea and domestic offices of HSBC and Bank of America, whose servers are located overseas, had to stop ATM and online banking services.

Response times....

Maybe the delay is the earthquake but how quickly did the C&N resort respond to your enquiry?

C&N resort offer details

This may be of interest as it includes a few helpful bits re airport transfer and free rides to beach which haven't previously been mentioned. For the price including breakfast I'm tempted.....yes i know its a 200bht ride home but the pool is worth that and the sea view from the balcony is something i've missed in previous trips, so prepared to pay for that too

Dear Sir,

We would lke to let you know as follows.
1. We could offer 15%discount for a stay longer than 14Days.
2. Rate at C&N Resort is include breakfast already.
3. We do not charge for joiner fee.
4. We have free pick up from airport and also have a transfer t the beach
and if yo would like to walk it will be only 600 meters.
5. Superior room will not have a problem with the seaview, but standard
room maybe some problem.

You may check the room rate from our website and make a booking with
reservaton form.
