Question All searched out (hotel help please!)

Hi All

Well I really did not want to start a thread asking for recommendations but I thought I had the hotel I wanted (C&N Resort) but they are fully booked for the last week in February for when I arrive.

I am looking for a nice room, pool, G/F, under 1500 Baht a night.

My short list is

Le Tong Hotel (tried searching threads but nothing recent on this hotel)
Blue Sky Residence (looks nice but far away from action)
Jintana Hotel (good location but basic looking)

Has anybody got any views on these places.. I pretty much know about Jintana (Thanks Dawsey)

I must have spent well over 100 hours so far organising and researching my vacation! Everything is booked: my 2 hotels in Bangkok, my flight from Bangkok to Phuket. The last piece is this hotel room in Patong. There is 3 of us traveling so we are looking for 3 rooms.

MANY MANY Thanks

Happy New Year to all

Hi Marc

Thanks for the suggestion. I am booking for 3 rooms and was hoping to get all this sorted before I get there. If it was just me I would book thru latestays.com.

Always stayed at the Summer Breeze in Soi Sansabai, the hotels in this soi all share a pool at the end of the road. It is only a short walk and when you are awake most of the time you will be on the beach or in your afternoon bar. So Summer Breeze, The Orchid, Yorkshire Inn, The Andaman Suite, there ar emore but one of these will assist with 3 rooms and are all gf.

Location was the most important thing to me when picking my hotel, soi san sabai is a short walk from Bangla where you will be spending most of your time, less hassle than bartering with tuk tuk drivers every day and night!!

Going by the original post - where he listed C&N Resort (as opposed to C&N Hotel) - I get the feeling he is after 'resort style' accommodation, rather than a guesthouse on Sansabai.

I think 1500THB is going to be VERY TOUGH in February. You might have to stretch it to 1800THB. Have you contacted Neptuna Hotel, or Sea, Sun and Sand Resort? Both are about the 1800THB (I think the SSS is open to negotiation - you might be able to trade-off brekky for a lower rate, for example).

If Soi Sansabai-style accommodation is okay with you, then there is Casa Summer Breeze and Hotel Orchid Residence to talk to initially.

Yeah, the location is great and lot's of BM's (including me) love the CSB and the staff there. I would go for them for sure. If they have a vacancy of course.

Thanks for all your replies. I am looking for somewhere nice with a pool. I have confirmed a reservation with Blue Sky Residence which is just off the Nanai road and come recommended.

I am still waiting for C&N as there may be rooms available. I am happy to pay 1800 baht a night but I have to accomodate my travel companians also. One of them does not wish to pay more than 1500 baht..... So I have to go by their wishes!

Thanks again....

You might get the Salathai for that kind of money, worth an e-mail because it's a cracking hotel.

Smile My vacation is ALL booked!

Just wanted to say thanks for all the posts regarding hotels....

I managed to get in after all with C&N resort... If anyone is booking with them direct be warned they are very slow at emailing you back... Or maybe I have no patience!!! Comes from dealing with cruise ship passengers every day!

My Itinerary now arriving on the 16th Feb

Bangkok - Majestic Suites (5 nights)
Phuket - C&N Resort and Spa (7 nights)

Did plan to return to Bangkok for 2 nights after Phuket but change of plan

Pattaya Areca Lodge (2 nights)

All these hotels are booked thanks to all the posts past and present on this forum.

I will attempt to post a trip report on my return from my vacation... Caerphilly I will get you pictures of C&N we have 2 standard and 1 superior room booked So will be able to show you the difference in rooms.

6 weeks to go!!!!!

You have picked some nice accommodation there. I am sure you will be very comfortable indeed.

Out of interest, what rate did you get for the C&N Resort & Spa?

They have quoted 1300 baht for Standard and 1800 Baht for superior but 10% off as we are staying for 7 days.

a good price for value is the Leelavadee Boutique Hotel. It is girl friendly, has good quality rooms, a very nice and quiet pool and WiFi in the pool area and the rooms located above. Just check Last minute Hotel Bookings in Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore & Bali

Outside high season, you get it for 1000 Baht or less.

C&N is offering lower rate with the comfort of booking in advance, Lelavadee is virtually next door and may lower their rates via Last Minute but nothing guaranteed, if certain to book thro hotel web site its a more expensive

Not much point making any more hotel suggestions. The OP is booked up now.
