Apartment

Hi guys,
been reading the posts here for a while and would just like to thank everyone for all the info, because of this, going halfway around the world alone doesn't seem so daunting.
I would like just a little bit more advice. I will be in Patong in September/October and will be staying 3-4 weeks. I want to rent an apartment either on its own or in a hotel complex. it doesn't have to be smack bang in the middle of everything but has to be girl friendly. Wireless internet would be nice and most of all a decent safe to store my camera kit.
Any help on this would be greatly received.

in Sept/Oct you will have zerp problem getting a room
if you just book a guest house for a week(700baht/nt) you can then go looking for yourself
how much are you looking to spend total?

That is an option I thought about but just wondered if anyone had any first hand experience or recomendation of a nice apt/studio as most of the threads on here are for hotels. Would look to spend up to about 1800B but obviously the cheaper the better.

There are several places you could research:

Ban Ben Jamas at the back of Soi Sans Sabai has a block of apartments with some available for rentals.

Most Timeshare places have a choice of rental or buy. Andaman Beach Suites for example.

Dingos may have something available.
