do thai air do an airmiles scheme .After u do a certain amount of air miles u get a free flight if so how do i claim my air miles

Yes they do!
You can sign up for a frequent flyer account (Royal Silk) on their site. You will be given a number that you will provide Thai Airways every time you book or check-in. Once you have earned enough miles for a free ticket you can book it on-line at reduced points (if the flight is domestic) or you can book it on the phone. A round-trip BKK-HKT Business class is 18000 points on line and coach is (i think) 14000 points. Thai Air points expire after 2+ years, however, they currently have given an extra 6 months to all miles that expired Dec 31, 2006.
Thai Airways is a member of Star Alliance to you can use that program for other flights on airlines that are member of the same alliance. Or if you are already a member of Star Alliance use that when you fly Thai.

That's quite right, I have just booked two "free" tickets Copenhagen Bangkok Phuket Bangkok Copenhagen, using our saved milage, at the same time you get an additional 10 kg baggage allowance when you travel.
You will earn miles on Royal Orchid Plus using a number of other airlines in the Star Alliance.
