So tempting.

Can get a $A600 return fare (including all taxes) to Phuket at Easter time.

1/2 price

Hard to believe that there would be the number of passengers from Perth to Phuket to make it viable. Nevertheless. it's half the cost of the Sydney/Phuket fare. I'd be into it like a rat up a drainpipe if I lived in Perth.

If this price is PER/SIN then Singapore Airlines still worth the extra couple of hundred bucks. Can't fault them.

Perth to destinations in Thailand too.

Perth-Bangkok
Perth-Phuket
Perth-Chaing Mai
Perth-Hat Yai
Perth-Krabi
Perth-Udon Thani
Perth-Singapore

The flights to Thailand are NOT direct, and involve a changeover in Singapore.

Best news ive heard in ages. Perth to thailand was always overpriced for the distance flown. At least there will be some competition to the current duopoly.

Using their website there are return fares as low as $466 Inc Taxes Perth to Phuket return (via SIN)

Have flown tiger before from Singapore to Phuket and found the service ok.

Wow, didnt find one that cheap. I've booked myself a flight covering the Easter period and got it for $A600. I am delighted with that.

I don't think there is much in this for you Sydney/Melbourne guys, unless you have frequent flyer points and/or family in Perth to make it worth the effort of flying Sydney-Perth-Singapore-Phuket!

It's a long way to fly on a budget airline, as I am a tall handsome man, but I am feelign adventurous

they just quoted me $720 rtn for 2/20 april perth/phuket,ok but it takes 12&13 hours to get there. For an extra $90 you fly thai and have free food/drinks watch a movie and get there in half the time, surely this makes better sense.

For $90 extra I would go with Thai Airways for sure, everytime. But I wasn't getting quoted ~$800 for a return flight with Thai. It was about a hundred bucks more than that.

Big difference between $600 and $900. Almost takes care of my accommodation...

I've just booked to go Perth-Sin- Phuket return at easter, $895aud. fare same to Singapore or Phuket. If I could have gone a week later would have picked up a fare of $389.00 Aud return! SQ booked out at easter, Qf to singapore $1167AUD plus extra Sin- Phuket. I'mm only a short a*** so legroom not to much of a problem. Flight arrives Sin about 2.50a. but I am saving about $277.00 each plus a Sin - Phuket flight all up about $400aud each. Give me Tiger anytime

Good stuff Aussie45. I will see you in Phuket at Easter time then!

Not surprisngly, most of the uber-cheap fares in April seem to have been snapped up. But there's still quite a lot of the $90 flights for later in the year.

I think a $500 return flight to Pattaya may be perfect for me, say, in November

Update

Tiger Airways announced yesterday that they will now be flying daily from Perth-Singapore and Singapore-Perth.

So there are a lot more new flights on the Tiger Airways website.

I just had a random look at mid-November 2007 (a nice time to visit Phuket) and you can get a return Perth-Singapore-Phuket flight for as little as $A430 (including all taxes).
