Pay to go on another airline!
For that kind of money can get on Eva or TG. Try www.westeasttravel.com.

I'm leaving Tue 27th March ETV with Qatar £406. Just take the kids out of school for a couple of days and get the cheaper fare. There are no exams scheduled.
Also, you are flying out on a Sat and returning Sunday, both days for peak fares. I return on the Mon 16th.

If you fly back on monday 16th they have a Kuwait Airways flight on lastminute.com for £489.
Even though it comes back a day later it may work out the same for the kids - if Aeroflot is scheduled to come in at 10pm on the Sunday by the time you get home I guess they'd be too wasted for the next day anyways. The Kuwait flight comes back in the afternoon so you don't "lose" a day on recovery time.

I used to fly Aeroflot a lot when going to Moscow on business. However after numerous bad experiences, I rather pay more or accept a transit somewhere.
