Used them once, not to Thailand, and they are pretty good.
Looked at their schedule and there is a fair stopover returning from BKK if IRC.

I've noticed Kuwait Airways myself this week as they seem to be the cheapest going out for the next month. Dawsey is right about the longer stopovers though. I'd sooner just pay the extra but maybe an advantage for some with Kuwait is that you don't have to get to Gatwick in the early morning.

And don't expect to get a beer during your stopover in Kuwait

It's a "dry" state, same same as Saudi

If it's a long stopover at least you're sure to get a date ......

I've been looking for flights myself this week, though I have a preferance for routing through Europe so it will probably be Lufthansa.

Anything sub £500 now seems like a bargain. Trailfinders broke the cost down for me and the ticket itself is around £370, with £180 on top of that, of which a whopping £100 is a fuel surcharge.

I have been on Kuwait airlines a few times, they do a premium economy (S class they call it I think) it was only like about $100 more return (to Kuwait) and you got a biz class seat with economy food. If you have a v. long stop over they have a decent hotel (airside)

My travel agent tells my Qatar are cheapest at the moment to UK at 42,000 with tax, followed by EK then Lufthansa. If I was going from Phuket I would go for Austrian becasue of the flight direct from Phuket to Vienna, saving the cost of a flight to Bangkok, but they only fly 2 times a week.

I had a really decent seat on Lufthansa the other day FRA BKK, it was the second row in economy window seat. First row behind the exit row, but the exit row has only 2 seats, so infront of my seat was nothing, except my bag that I put my feet up on.
