Sawasdee Village?
Hi,
I came across the Sawasdee Village hotel and it looks VERY nice from their site. Phuket Sawasdee
This is my first trip to Phuket, so I'm trying to find someplace that I can just relax and chill in a nice environment, plus isn't too far from the action (and guest friendly). I realize this is Kata Beach, but I don't have a good feel for how far away that is from everything (Bangla, restaurants, etc).
I looked in the "BM Opinion" thread, plus did a search, but nothing came up.
Any help, opinions, or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Mark

Kata is a fair old tuktuk ride.. basically 2 towns south..
If Patong and nightlife is what your coming for then my advice would be stay in Patong.

Could you please help me understand time-wise what that means? Are we talking 10 minutes? 30 minutes? An hour?
Apologies for the newbie question. As I said, I really don't have a good feel for the layout yet.

Clear traffic.. in a tuk tuk 20 - 25.. Could be slower but if you had a maniac maybe a bit less..
But its a long way when your going in and out nightly.. then some girls may not want to leave patong (they usually will but helps if they know you or are more relaxed.. Its just another thing that makes them resist and maybe increase cost)..
Tuk tuk hassles getting and haggling all the time.. Its just aggro I can do without on a holiday.
All that said I looked at the site and that does look like a nice flash place..

Hi Kwikie,
Have you seen this thread about recommended hotels?
http://www.phuket-info.com/forums/ac...esthouses.html
If you need more info, just ask. If you want pics of the hotels, have a look at the head of the main page for "Phuket Hotels" and see if there is more info and pics there on any hotels you fancy.
Also type in the hotel name you may like the look of into the "Search" function above and you should find posts and maybe pics relating to the hotel.

Well that is reflected in the price, but agree it looks very nice indeed
Can I ask what your budget is per night (pref in baht) and arrival period. Much easier to make a recommendation

Sorry, nobody seems to know either. Its a bit of a secret hotel this one, not highly advertised on the websites.
