Sydney Phuket -Jetstar star class

Next time I go to Phuket I was thinking about treating myself to a bit of luxury and going jetstar but in their "star class". This would cost me about 700 bucks more than the economy return fare with Singapore.
Anyone tried this yet?
I always fly Singapore Airlines but their business class fares are a bit too expensive for me.

Hi Steve,

I haven't flown JetStar to Phuket but last month flew JetStar Star Class to Bali. I was acutally quite impressed for the price..... I mostly enjoyed the big reclining seats. Food and service was a little average but if your more interested in just taking it easy and having a nap then i recommend JetStar. If the food and service is more important to you take Singapore Air as they in my books have the best service!

Hope this helps

Will give it a shot

OK James,
Thanks for that.
I'll give it a shot on my next trip.
I am also a fan of Singapore Airlines but it might be nice to do the trip in one hit for a change.

Hi Steve,
I flew with jetstar star class at xmas when i went to Phuket.
The service is a little on slow side, food was total rubbish,
but it was worth it. ( take a subway sandwich ) I will be
going jetstar again in May when i go back to Phuket. I would say
just dont pay for the food service.

Regards Ted

Hi Ted,
Iwas under the impression that food, beverages etc were free as part of the start class service. This is an extract from their website:

As part of the StarClass personalised service meals, beverages and a snack bar are included. Passengers are also given an amenity kit, blanket and pillow as well as entertainment options which include audio channels and a personal video-on-demand unit featuring a range of new release movies, TV shows, music videos and kids' programmes.

Hi Steve,
Sorry it is free, when i travelled i upgraded to starclass, and had already
payed for these services. I'm going again 9th of May,and am going starclass
again. I will still take the subway sandwich with me,in case the meals have
not improved.

Cheers Ted

OK mate, now I understand.
However, from JM's post it would seem that the meals aren't crash hot.
Anyway, I am probably going over some time in March so I will let you know what they are like.
