a mate of mine telephoned me from london last night to tell me that a friend of his had just texted him to say his thai airways flight had landed at DON MUANG has anyone else heard of flights arriving at the old airport ?
this is absolutely nightmarish how the hell are we supposed to arrange taxis to pick us up when we dont know where we are landing !

No idea but DM is not open to flights at this time.. I had read theres a skeleton crew and a tiny amount of charter traffic..
Who knows why mate ?? But thats the current situation.

the Nation mentions, that DonMuang reopens March 21, just before Songran. Does anybody know, if the 1-2-go will move back to DonMuang soon, or can I book my connecting flight to Phuket still with a 1.5 hour time difference ?

I HAVE JUST CALLED thai airways office in albemarle street london
they have told me there is a possibility that absolutely none of their international flights will be arriving at don muang some domestic flights will possibly be moved to don muang BUT DEFINATELY NOT flights to phuket or surat thani (for samui)
have also recieved an email back from emerites air who i will fly with they say they have no plans to have their flights landing at don muang as far as they are concerned they will be using the new airport for the foreseable future
