How to kill 5 hours at Subvarnabhumi
Tomorrow I fly out to BKK first. Then I have to wait about 5 hours until my NokAir flight to Udon Thani leaves.
Can anybody give me some recommendations of what can be done there, besides sitting in the bar.
Is there any massage place, etc. If yes, wher can I find that. It will be my first time on this airport.
Thanks guys.

Yes there are massage places.
Just go to the main duty free level, there are signs at both ends at least guiding to them.

well last trip I just sat on the net for about 2 hours..there is only one netshop and the server is as slow as Shi'ite........I think it was like BHt200-300 for an hour so not cheap by any standards.....
There is a reasonable but expensive food court in there and several fast food outlets.......sems to have less than DM though which is kinda strange in a Thai kinda way

As you would expect, everything is pretty expensive at the airport.
- Shopping is amazing. Some really flash stores!
- Massage, as mentioned. Looked upmarket to me though. Go in with low expectations
- Internet, but frightfully expensive comapred with LOS generally. But a great way to kill an hour.
- Otherwise, walk around and find a really quiet corner in this huge edifice, use your bag as a pillow and try and catch some zzzzz's
Though I found the chairs in the airport to be brutally uncomfortable (cold grey metal) and the whole place to be drafty.

LOL
If you budget on 45 minutes each way from airport to city then that leaves about 3 hours in town.
It's line-ball, almost worth doing it (Eden Club is up to personal preference )

Had a few hours to kill on my way through in Feb and popped into a massage place on level 4. Made it very hard to get myself headed back to the departure gate. Reasonable price given the location.

Take a cab to the Eden Club (45 min)... A couple of girls can entertain you (2 hrs), still need more walk across Sukhumvit to Lolitas (5 min)... Pop a viagra and get yourself a BJ (45min), and take cab back to the airport (45min). Leaves you enough time to buy an over price beer and a meal before going to Udon Thani.

For all intents and purposes once you get airside the airport terminal building is run by King Power Duty Free. The amount of floor space they have been allocated is nothing short of ridiculous! It is a wealthy shoppers paradise.
May I suggest a good book or curl up in a duty free shop and go to sleep.

I'm not a smoker, but those smoking rooms look very sad places. No one is smiling. Just feeding their addiction.
