A bit of google searching tells me I can get a public bus from Phuket Town to Khao Lak for a small number of bhat.

My question is... What is the cheapest and best way to get from Patong to Khao Lak, in comfort, with my scuba gear and luggage?

Yeah taxi car is easy but 1800 baht is a bit lumpy.

Not if you want you and all your gear to get there in one piece and on time though.... and even then it could get interesting.

that is a long spin.and imo great value at 1800.im sure if you haggled a bit you would get it for 1500.......
