Family accommodation Patong
My family two adults - 3 children 20,14,11 are coming to Patong in June and are looking for budget family accommodation. At this stage thinking about Club Coconut Resort or Kamala Bay Garden Resort. Cany anyone help with a better alternative.

What sort of budget you working too? how many rooms? what do you and your family want and like doing during the day/night?
Are your children boys or girls and would the 20 year old desire to go out on his/her own or happy to stay with the family?

Hi felipol..
Hotels in Patong, Phuket: stay at the Hyton Leelavadee Resort Hotel
Not to sure if your wanting to stay in Patong or Kamala but I like the Hyton Leelavadee located in Patong. It's in a good location and has a nice pool and spacious renovated rooms. I stayed there November 2006 and paid approx $80.00AU for a double room.
Good Luck

Our children are all boys and we would prefer a two bedroom apartment or adjoining rooms but not essential. The 20 year old is happy to stay with us. We were hoping to pay no more than $70AUS a night and like to snorkel, swim, sightsee & eat out. We don't mind either Patong, Kamala Bay, Kata or Karon beaches.

Like IJ said, I think it will be difficult even in the low season. I would also prefer a pool if you come in June as the sea can be quite rough.
For one room in Patong I would recommend Salathai at 1,800 baht a night.

For AUD 70 a night, that is really tight.
Swiss Palm Beach has got 2 bedroom apartments, the standard ones will cost you 2000 baht per 2 bedroom apartment during the low season.
Really standard duplex apartment, 2 bedrooms, 1 toilet with shower upstairs, one toilet downstairs, a kitchen and living room.
Quite a walk to Bangla, beach is across the road.
Phuket hotels, Thailand: apartments and studios at Swiss Palm Beach in Patong
Cheers.
