Yes I have, and yes they have.
Dawsey clan used tham on last Songkran trip as well.
I remember a post about the planes from Manchester not being as good as the ones from Gatwick/Heathrow. But that was more than a year ago.

Qatar
Used them on my first trip to Thailand last year. The entertainment was good enough, good selection of movies with personal TV's on the back of headrests but the leg room is not too great if you're tall or a bit of a porker.
I'd fly them again if i couldn't use Emirates.
Edit : That was the UK / Doha / BKK route too.

I have used them hundreds of times, I even have a Qatar Airways Gold frequently flyer Card.
New Aircraft, Polite and efficient staff, including ground staff. IMO better than Emirates in many ways.
I am not to sure all the staff are happy, have had a few negative vibes from them over the last 18 months, but has not affected the service.
Silver card members get 25Kg extra luggage Gold 30 Kg and free pick up and drop of in UK and Doha.
They just opened a new building at Doha just for Biz and 1st class passengers. Its great
A Biz class ticket is way cheaper BKK - UK than UK - BKK

Flew BKK - Doha - Cairo return with them a few months ago. I would have flown with them again but can't seem to get flights just when I want. I'll recommend them.

I booked this route for june... Got it through ebookers.com (well .ie but its the same thing) 19th june -> 13th sept, price €779... This includes DUB -> LHR. Bags through to BKK etc. After a lot of looking and comparing this seemed to be the cheapest flight.
You can also change return flight for €50 to €100 depending on how much notice you give them. This was a consideration in my case as I may return before or after the 13th sept.

used them on my 1st ever trip to los, was a good airline and had all the entertainment you'd expect, i think there actually a 5 star airline now so they should be the best around.

Yes your right they are a 5 star airline.
I used them last month and the only two things I could fault them with is leg room, which was a little skimpy and one or two of the "trolly dollies" were a bit stoney faced.
The food was good, choice of films and music was excellent and plenty of drink if you wanted it.
Happy days!!

I flew LHR > DOH > BKK December in business class and was not impressed with Qatar Airways. Maybe it's because my 3 previous trips had been with BA (once in First) and Singapore Airlines (twice in biz) and they don't match up to those trips.
The thing that most annoyed me was that I could not get the table down (being a big lump !) and the staff didn't even try to do anything about it, they just took the attitude "OK, so no meal for you then". Very poor form in my opinion.
