I stayed next door at The Expat on my last trip. I sort of stuck my head thru the door but never went in.
For that I could now kick my own butt. My question is, what is the situation regarding visiting and using the pool ect if you are not staying in one of the rooms? Can you stay elsewhere and visit when the party mood strikes?

Your very welcome is my experience.. Just buy drinks or food and all are welcome.. If your a party person and having a laugh you will no doubt meet the owner and he will approve, he just loves to see people having a good time IMO.

We regularly drag a bunch of girls down to the pool and jacuzzi at night (or day)..

Further to my other posts on the subject I've just reserved for the 4th time at Valhalla in October. It's a gentleman's club catering for gentlemen. I've never been there when there's a big party on so I always think of it as a haven of calm with pool, outdoor jacuzzi for titillation (indoor jacuzzi for real naughties), "sports" channel, good food and drink (if a little pricier than elsewhere as it's 24 hours*). Darts with the scraped together squad run by Jonny on a Tuesday is always a highlight for me, getting to meet permanent Patong expats.

I'm always happy with room 1 but if you can get a party going why not try the VIP room (which was the gogo bar next to the front door)? A couple plus two or three girls (and maybe a grateful guy from room one next door...) should do it.

* For a change or the price conscious there's the aircon Expat restaurant next door (breakfasts and falang strength Thai my favourites) or Faulty's (excellent Thai and the massive Crusty Burger - BM Crustasean is the boss - Kilkenny on draught). Laundry in the corner. Soi Sunset's really quiet since Galaxy went, so sleep not a problem and you can always set your alarm for a stroll up the soi to Taipan at kicking out at 3am to peruse bedfellows...

Room 13, very good for discreet ST action during the day due to "rear entrance".....just get phone numbers nite b4.....call them around 2pm....3pm ST fun begins.

All real.. Just a case of different developers doing half assed jobs and leaving without giving the owner passwords or access info.

Popped my head inside one afternoon, only a couple blokes in there who stopped and stared, no idea who, but I felt about as welcome as someone who tracked in dogsh*t across the floor, so i walked back out.
Bar another very brief visit to meet some guys to go shooting, thats it.
Bad timing i guess, but I can see how it would be good for a piss-up though.
