Valhalla Hotel
Hi All
Well 3 days back and I am looking at booking my next trip.. Looking at End of August until start of September with probably 10 days in Phuket..
Myself and my friend will be coming over again and I have been looking at the Valhalla Hotel.. The question is.. We are thinking it might be cool to get the Deluxe Party room, but unsure whether this has 2 bedrooms??? Has anybody stayed here?????
After staying at C&N resort which was an amazing hotel and fitted our needs perfectly we were thinking of staying nearer the town/Bangla Road. Another option is Poppa Palace...
Any help is appreciated......

If you are a party animal, go for Valhalla, its too late for me right now to remember the name of the owner or the welsh guy that runs the place but feck if you cannot have fun at valhalla you shouldn't come to Patong!
Oh yeah and Summer Breeze is great location (need to keep in with Bill cos he's a diamond)

Thanks, I will look at Summer Breeze.. I just fancied having a pool table and go-go pole in my room If it has 2 double bedrooms I will go for this.
The Welsh guy's nickname is Boyo (original!!) Kevin in "Up To Me Sure Bar" (Soi Tiger) told me.

Jan is owners name....and Johnny is the Manager.
Good fun place, but doubt if they have got that type of room.

Valhalla is definitely a good option if you are in a party mode (who is not??)
Only 1 bed in the room, but have a room right next to it, might have to swap with your mate on the odd days.
Furthermore, they recently had a big Jacuzzi installed between the sauna and the pool… Nice!!!

Sounds like a good spot for your interests. I did check it out and it wasn't my cup of tea. Faulty Towers is a stones throw for a good burger.

From what i read the rooms are not that nice and new, so the reason to stay there would be to party and stay with a party crowd.
Is it still a party place?
During day time is there a party crowd at the pool?
Have the rooms seen any colour in the past years? Or is it very run down?

Hi Sarsbuk and all
Valhalla isn't so much a hotel as a gentleman's club. Would you prefer a room for less than 30 euros a night with a mosaic-lined jacuzzi tub that the girls can't wait to get into (rooms 1 and 2), swim up bar, free pool tables, food and drinks 24 hours, night guard that ejects a BG that throws a wobbly, FL girls in the pool and sauna (and now I hear outdoor jacuzzi) up for ST in the afternoon etc etc etc. or a 5-star resort where you can't get your teelak through the door?
No contest for me - staying there for the third time in May. It's brilliant IMHO(and I used to write guidebooks).
You could always have the big VIP room for the odd night.
Valhalla? It's not 5-star but the perks more than make up for it.

I stayed in the party room about 2 years ago, and let me tell you the place is a shit hole. Me and a few mates felt depressed after spending 2 nights there, so we packed up and went to Pattaya.

i stayed there when patong was going through one of the world worst natural disasters.
now let me tell you all some thing yes the place is not a 5 start hotel by any means .
But it has a hell of a lot going for it number one is the owner Jan and all his staff.
when outside was in total confusion a group of us sat there and drank ,ate, played pool and in general kept out of the way of the rescue services .
in room surplies included viagra with the mini bar.
the pool was a step away, beer was always avaliable and guests are always made welcome.
if your looking for amarai style hotels then dont go ,if your after a bed for the night with plenty of good times for the very open minded then go there.
horses for courses.
