Royal Paradise Hotel

Ok, a hotel question.

My buddy is keen on the Royal Paradise in Soi Boy (I know, I'm worried too ), but reading the reports it looks like there is a 700baht joiner fee. Is this current info?

So, striking that firmly from the list, does anyone have a hotel to suggest in that 1500baht range? We need a pool, walking distance to Bangla, no plague of tailors and no joiner fee. (Not Salathai or Patong Villa)

Before anyone says it, I did UTFSE and am more confused than ever.

From the 14th of April for a week or so.

I don't mind the Expat, but last time I was there I found it a little more basic than I like, and the bed was really really
hard.

Maybe something a touch more upscale from the Expat?

You could try have a look at Phuket Palace, they have a fantastic pool, and it's free to bring home a guest, the rooms are very big and nice.
Now the walking distance to Bangla, I don't know how keen you are about walking, I quite often walk home from Bangla, the hotel provides free transport for the guests within Patong. Phuket, Thailand - Phuket Palace Hotel, Patong Beach

Don't expect too much dialog Steve. I asked for confirmation and prices, if they wanted a deposit, and all I got back was a four word email. OK For your booking

TBH if you want a room there, hopefully another BM in Patong can reserve it for you. My reservation wasn't on the hotel PC, in spite of that email, until Dodger and his other half went in for me and sorted it out.

I stayed at Royal Paradise 2 nigths at christmas time, this was my first and last stay at this hotel, I moved from C&N to this hotel because i wanted a nice hotel for the 2 last days of my stay. How wrong could I be, if this hotel is a 4 star hotel then I give C&N 10 stars!

I stayed at the 11th floor and the only positive thing in this room was the view everything else was shite.

I stayed in the Paradise wing, I talked to a guest staying in the Royal wing and he told me that the rooms in this wing was very good, but I don't think this rooms is in your price range

Tana patong is in your price range i think. I have never stayed at this hotel but I have a friend staying at this hotel everytime he is in Patong. I think I will try this hotel next time.
