Unhappy Return Flight to Bkk in April

All I'm finding are prices in the region of £580 and more from Heathow UK to Bkk between 2nd & 13th

Is this right for this time of year?

Try www.westeasttravel.co.uk

There is a thread here the last couple of days with prices of £475 being mentioned.

Try a quote from www.expedia.co.uk and www.airlinenetwork.co.uk

Try not to book a flight on a Saturday or Sunday... This can push the price up also!!!

I am looking for August and found by flying back on a Saturday it pushes the price up!

Thanks, I just tried those ones which returned the same. I then changed the dates to later in April and saw the prices that falanger talked about. It seems that if I want to travel from the 2nd to the 13th of April from Heathow I will be paying a premium.

Those prices are about right. You can't travel during European school holidays and get bargains. Also, Songkran in Thailand will have an effect on some flight prices (Thai Airways) which will probably knock on to other airlines.

I got a decent deal for early April but have some air miles to use. The best of the European carriers at the minute seem to be Lufthansa and KLM, other than that it's the Mid-East airlines.

If you are picky about the dates & times and especially the airlines you will be paying a premium. I just paid €1442 from Amsterdam (KLM), but my dates were fixed.

Fixed dates here as well... has to be one of the Bank Holiday weekends in May (4th-7th and 25th-28th) and it seems you can book Royal Jordanian for less than £400.

Yes mate you left if a bit late to book or you could gamble and try and get a last minute cheap rate but when it is easter then you chances will be reduced.

I have found £534.20 with your travel dates leave 02.04.07 return 13.04.07
and £532.90 if you leave on 31.03.07 which were through www.expedia.co.uk .

.

Was going to chime in with the same info when I saw this thread. The reason I can get £475 return from Heathrow to Bangkok on Thai Air is because I am going in early to late June which is just before the school holidays and low season in Thailand.

If I was patnut, I would seriously consider trying to change the leave dates if at all possible.

That's a very good Airline Network link Hoof.

Just spotted on page 2, Emirates from London Gatwick £506. Good price as Emirates is a quality airline.

I have used Qatar & Etihad for my last 2 trips via expedia, this time I got flights May returning June with Gulf Air, and my entire trip price including my usual hotel and taxes cost £658.62, again via expedia. Their deals change all the time depending on availability but are worth a try mate.

Don't! Friend of mine did last year and said it was awful. 7 hour stopver in Amman on the way back.

Pay a little more and use Qatar or Etihad....both excellent and short stops in the Emirates each way. You've left it a bit to get the cheaper fares though and hitting easter/school holidays.
