Narry's hotel & tailor

Has anyone ever stayed at the Narry's Hotel on Patong beach? I really don't have any intention of staying there, but I am curious because they have 3 pages of ads in the Thai Airways in-flight magazine (Sawasdee) including the inside back cover. Well, the inside back cover is for the hotel and then there is a double page spread on the inside for the tailors.

I don't know how expensive advertising in this magazine costs, but most of the other advertisers seem to be bigger players (Singha, Jaspal, big condo developments, etc. ) and it strikes me odd that a small 40 room hotel in Patong has a big (and potentially expensive) ad. So, has anybody tried it or heard about it?

Cheers, Ro-baht

Hotel

Hiya

Yeh I have stayed there a few times but a few years ago. They actually have a Hotel in Bangkok as well.

Dont know much about the Tailors shop I didn't see much of that.

The Hotel is Ok and 2 star, with clean rooms, air con, big bathroom, room service is good, although there is no pool but the best thing about it is the location, it is right on the Beach next to the Banthai and McDonalds.

If you are on a budget then this is a good place to stay, they also do some nice Indian Room service.

If you can afford the extra, then I would stay at the Banthai, you can get a room for about 2,000 baht a night in low season, and the Narry will charge about 1,200 baht.

But there is plenty of choice, I have stayed in loads of places and that is also part of the fun, going to a new place you have not been to before and meeting new staff and friends etc.

Good luck.

Regards

Drew
