Nana Hotel Booked out....
Just been told by online booking agency Nana is booked out for early May.... Wanted to stay there to get the t shirt...as I've never been to BK before. Might have to be Majestic, but I'm open to suggestions...

I stayed in Majestic Suites last month! I HIGHLY recommend it!!! More so than Nana Hotel.
You can use the pool at Majestic Grande and their Spa. I am planning a trip back in August and will stay at Majestic Suites Again!
If also booked try Dynasty Inn which is also on Soi Nana.... But try for Majestic Suites 1st!!!!!!!

try also :: Dynasty Inn, Bangkok ::, it is across from nana hotel. if you are staying there and also going to pataya, you can book the dynasty inn in pataya from bangkok at a special rate and a free ride to pataya.

Two blocks away on Soi 2 across from the JW Marriott. Briofoz, I find it hard to believe that Nana Hotel is booked out in early May at this time. Sorry, but the folks that stay there (myself included) do not make plans this far in advance.. Check with them directly rather than with a booking agent as you mentioned you did...

Its in Soi 6 it is nice stayed in loads of hotels all around this area, for what you get, I think it is good value.
Decent Farang food in the restuarant.
If Nana was full I used to stay at Nana Tai mansions, at the bottomn of Soi 4 about same price as Nana, but further away - but this was an apartment rather than just a room.
I always ask when booking - One double bed in the room yes?
Fed up with stupid places like Ambassador with there 2 single beds, and hate 2 beds pushed together and sleeping in the crack.
No problem for you at the Grande though George

shit hotel
Whatever you do I highly advise you to avoid Ambassador hotel. Probably the worst hotel iv stayed in in thailand. Drab rooms.

Problem now solved, Passionasia booking agency had them sold out (they have cheapest on line rates I have found). Booked through this site, no probs, but more expensive. Thanks for your input, blokes.

I was going to suggest dealing direct with the hotel, but if you have solved your problem that's cool.
I much prefer dealing direct with hotels. It's a bit odd that you can get better rates off the booking sites, but it's one less thing that can go wrong if you deal direct.

Had similar experience last month, I tried to book one night in Nana Hotel while in Uk by internet but it said fully booked.
Later when I was in Bangkok I went to the Nana hotel reception and asked to book for same night and it was no problem plenty of room.
