Timeshare for Sale?
I am looking for a 2 week Timeshare to purchase, 2 or 3 bedroom house, maybe with a pool, near to the beach. If I can not find one, I would be interested in hearing from others who would like to own a home on a fractional basis.

I have just walked past and ignored that English guy who makes people scratch a card to win a t-shirt, then sits them down and harrasses them into buying timeshare, please give me your e-mail address and i can pass it on to him , more than happy to help

Actually Tarzan, not SPAM. I have been to Phuket 1 time, I stayed at was billed as a 5 star hotel (Sharaton Grande Laguna) and was shocked at what is considered 5 star. Black mold in every room, a bathtub you felt dirty after getting out, electrical figtures shorting out in the room. I also did a little looking at what was available to purchase and the prices were good last year, I would prefer to own something and enjoy it for a few years then resell it. No, I do not want 1 of those little single hotel rooms that are usually the product of timeshare sales people and I have searched the internet and could not find a house to timeshare which is why I put the note in this forum. I wonder what makes people like you so skeptical.

You should have gone somewhere else, I have never had that problem and i tend to stay at places at the lower cost end of the market.

Sounds a little bit to me that you might like the Andaman Beach Suites. OK, it's not a 5 star hotel, but some of the rooms were big and they have a separate living room as well as a bedroom. Very spacious and a lot of the rooms face out over Patong beach. If you get a high floor then you will see some wonderful sunsets. I stayed there for 10 days on my first visit to Phuket and enjoyed it immensely. Unfortunately I was on the 6th floor and needed to be up another 2/3 floors to see over the tree tops and out into the bay.
You might find that it would be better to find timeshare places whilst down there in Phuket itself, i.e. by all means do some online searching but the real legwork will need to be done whilst over there. There are offices within this hotel with a company that does timeshare, but as it's not my thing I didn't find anything out about them.
To give you an idea of the view, I am attaching a couple of snaps from 3 years ago.

Plenty of second hand timeshare websites around & cut out the sales commission.
Most timeshares in Phuket tend to be apartments, very few villas, but that is now changing.

Second Hand
Thanks, I should have mentioned the "second hand" part, it was my goal to find one second hand, the first time ones are way overpriced and they all seem to be 1 week timeshares. Yes, I am having problems finding a Villa (full house) one, I do not want a small condo/hotel type unit.

Forget time share if you are after an investment. It maybe the thing in Florida, but Thailand is not a stable investment in my opinion. It will only cost you THB 1,000 on average for a decent room in Patong. Peanuts to most. Invest where you understand the market and use the profits for your holidays. A time share anywhere will limit where you can stay for your hols.

Barge pole don't touch - re arrange.
You would get a better house on the long term rental market than going "swimming with sharks"
I am sorry but I despise those crooks who accost people on holiday and rip them off.
