Low budget room

Got some lads here on a 1 year world tour running on a very low budget. Anyone know of any "bargirl" type 4000baht/month type rooms available?

About 3 weeks ago we found some off Soi Duncan at 3500, go to Nicke's take the road off left after his turning (if coming from Nanai end)(we call it Soi Duncan, think its real name is soi dum paeng)(not Alexander Place) 500 yards passed the horrible block buildings the road turns sharply and there is apartments on the left, the building at the back is two storey and painted orange, some rooms even had aircon!! every other place was 6k upwards. Other than that we heard of places out at Kathu, towards Phuket Town at 2500 but think then they would be too far from the action and pay the balance of a good room on Tuk Tuk fares.

Is that the left turning after Baan Moon Inn?

The only problem I feel about the area of Patong is the mental Traffic you get along the road in front. With cars and trucks rocketing along the road from time to time. Overtaking when there is no room to overtake.

I have nearly been hit a few time walking back from Nicke's. Wait a minute..... If I remember I was nearly hit about 5 times by a black 4x4 pick-up? I wonder who that was!

If they are going to have thier own transport.. The bunch of houses that are down on the left as you go up Patong hill out toward the temple.. Theres BG rooms up there in the 3k+ range.. 6k got a tiny apartment..

Going back a couple of years the blue building used to rent pretty nice guesthouse rooms, with maid and pool for 8 - 10k per month..

They were doing cheap room rates last year and are not far from town centre.They have a great pool and sauna.

yeah.. Good point, I met someone who was paying about 6k a month there long stay..

Good point Crustacian... If a "visiting" bar girl (from Patts or BKK) atmoshere is wanted, then this is THE hotel in Patong anyway... But, for a 4,000 baht per month budget, I don't think this is the place IMO, more like 9,000 per month at Vices, at least in high season from the gal I met. I think your lads LOS, will have to venture out of Patong unless they are really willing to rough it... and you probably already know that.

Thanks, but they've decided they're probably only staying a few days and are sharing a room for 900baht a night in a hotel!

Their site at Vises Patong Hotel, Phuket Patong Beach must be down as you get directed to a page of Phuket hotels where it isn't listed????

Another listing is at Vises Patong Hotel, Phuket which quotes 970bt a night?

I can't see an e-mail contact for them (yet!) either...

6K or even 9K BT for a month sounds good... Their pool would be a big selling point for me too...

I've just been reading that 'Building a Shed in Thailand' thread and quite fancy knocking up some 3-4k per month accommodation around Kamalalala..........

If I had a hammer............I'd hammer in the morning, hammer in the evening.................etc, etc
