Expedia could possibly look at getting you different flights from BKK back to London - currently looking like £400ish one way.

I was thinking the same thing, provided it's possible to split the original booking of 6.

Apart from saving a fair bit on the ticket (x #6 pax) I prefer to break the monotonous 12 .5 hr trip with a short break. My choice, and due to a late change, I'm shafted. My problem.
I have booked possibly over 50 long haul flights in the past 8 yrs, and this is the first time I have had a late cancelled flight.

Well i hope it all works out for you Roger. Back to your point, I agree with you that it is a good idea to break the journey up for a little while, never done it but i was planning on using emirates to get to Thailand this year... until Lufthansa had a flight time that suited me better. well form what has happened to you i won't be using Qatar in the future. An airline shouldn't mess anyone around like they have you and your party. That is disgusting. I hope it all works out for you mate

ok you might get better food and service but who cares it's only 12 hours trip, same as a long work day

If you live in the uk then they are not non-stop, also been with Austrian and they were not good at all the Heathrow-Vienna were fine but the vienna to Bangkok and return was awlful.

Also I found KLM to be a bad airline, Never tried Swiss but Lufthansa were good
Although none of them from Ireland are non-stop.. So I would rather use Singapore, Thai or Emirates...

I can't see an airline letting 6 passengers board an aircraft from BKK to Doha knowing that there are not enough seats for them to make the connection back to Heathrow.
They will not let us all board the plane.
I intend to sort this mess out at Heathrow if things have not changed in the meantime.
Thanks for all the input

Try and forget during your hols and have a great trip. It can only get better. Mind you between Don Muang and Bkk new, what else can happen ?

You should be OK. To double check, go on their website Qatar Airways | Home , put in your date of departure from BKK , and look for the timetable. Scroll down it and you will find the days and flight times of each flight number to and from BKK.
My flight was changed to suit their summer schedules that start 25th March

Ally this is one time when we agree, use them regular and no problems... To be honest i don't know why they get slated... All my experiences have been good... The only down side was the Lufthansa Lounge at Frankfurt.. In my opinion was a bit naff. Went in there for 5 minutes and that was it..

I was referring to the possibility of any restrictions on the booking, i.e. you might find that you cannot make a change for an individual and any changes apply to all 6. Therefore T0rn's suggestion of keeping 4 tickets as booked and changing 2 tickets might not be a possibility.

My flight has also been changed by Thai Air. They have cancelled the HKT-BKK leg of my HKT-HKG flight and put me on one 31/2 hours earlier so I have 4 hours kicking my heels in the airport at Bangkok, and I have to get up really early on my last morning . It seems half their flights from Phuket are going to Don Muang, and the other half to the "Cobra Swamp", and its really screwing up their schedules.
I will use Dragonair next time.
At least you know that whilst in LOS you will have a great time.

same for me...up early on last morning then few hours at bangkok til i fly back to uk. only plus will be exploring the bars at the new airport!

It is well known within Qatar that Qatar Airways customer service is non-existent.
It is common with Qatar Airways to overbook their flights and then, even though you've paid for your ticket, no seats will be available when you check in and you miss your flight. People have been stranded by Qatar Airways in various parts of the world for up to 4-5 days.
